@The One World Festival is an international cooperation festival held annually under a theme of gwhat we can do to make a better world to live togetherh. Organizations engaged in international cooperation mainly in the Kansai region, such as NGO/NPOs, international organizations, government organizations and companies, gather together to promote better understanding among citizens of Osaka of the importance of international cooperation through introduction of their activities, exhibitions, symposiums and panel discussions.
@OFIX sets up a booth at the One World Festival every year to introduce our activities. Additionally we run a programme called gWorld Walkerh where OFIX scholarship students give presentations about their home countries.

Over 100 Kansai-based organizations such as NGO/NPOs, the UN, ODA, businesses, and educational institutions introduced their activities at their booths.2

On the 20th, the former sumo wrestler Konishiki gave a keynote speech titled gChildren, the Future of the Worldh as a special international cooperation symposium
@
OFIX also had a booth at the festival where we introduced our activities using panels, brochures and so on. In addition, we invited 3 foreign students from China, the UK and Malaysia, and ran a talk programme called gWorld Walkerh where the students made easy-to-understand presentations to introduce their culture, food, tourist sites and festivals. The talks were followed by a number of questions from enthusiastic participants. This was a meaningful event to deepen multicultural understanding.
@
Booths and meeting rooms on the 2nd floor were very crowded, with 12,300 visitors over the 2 days. The ethnic food stands outside were very popular, with many people enjoying tasty food from around the world. |
