The International Understanding Education Program is one of the key programs run by the Osaka Foundation of International Exchange (OFIX). The aim of the program is to promote international exchange and understanding through school visits by our OFIX International Understanding Education Foreign Supporters, where they introduce their country and it’s culture to the school kids in Japanese.

○Any public/private schools in Osaka Prefecture, including elementary, junior high and
　 high schools established under/based on the School Education Law.

Limited to classes/activities conducted as an official school event.

○International exchange organizations based in Osaka Prefecture

The OFIX International Understanding Education Foreign Supporters are foreign residents (international students etc), living in Osaka registered with us to visit schools and introduce their country’s culture, history, music, traditions, and games in Japanese.

�@Introduction to culture (clothes, language, food, sport etc) and history
�ACultural activities such as games, songs, dance etc
�BPresentation on a set theme such as the environment, economy, education etc

※Items to better introduce individual countries can also be provided.

※Distance learning classes via the internet can also be arranged.

※The use of PowerPoint during presentations is strongly recommended. Please indicate whether you can provide a pc, projector, and screen when submitting the request form.

At the present time OFIX pays all travel expenses incurred by the Supporters, so there is no cost involved for the schools.
